The Meteorological Service of Cyprus issued a red warning for today, Friday (04/9).
The warning will be from 11:00 in the morning until 17:00 on Friday afternoon (4/9), while the temperature will climb to 45 degrees Celsius inside.
Hot gas mass affects the area.
Today the weather will be mostly clear. The winds will be initially variable, weak 3 beauforts to gradually become southwesterly to northwesterly, weak to moderate 3 to 4 beauforts. The sea will be a little turbulent. The temperature will rise to around 45 degrees inland, around 39 on the east and south coasts and around 37 on the west and north coasts as well as the higher mountains.
The night the weather will be mostly clear. The winds will blow northwest to northeast and on the north coast southeast, weak 3 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to a little turbulent. The temperature will drop to around 25 degrees inland and on the coast and to 22 degrees in the higher mountains.
The Weekend and on Monday the weather will be mostly clear and warm.
The temperature will gradually drop but will fluctuate at levels that are above the climatic averages.
