How to make a stylish bench for your terrace easily and economically
The summer months are suitable for a terrace or garden, good company and coffee.
What better way than to enjoy your afternoon coffee on the bench that you will have made with your own hands. Below we will give an extremely original idea that you will surely love and you will not come off, not only you but also your friends!
The materials are simple, and you can pretty much get them all.
What you will need:
-12 concrete bricks (6 for each side)
-4 large pieces of wood in length of more than 2 meters, depending on the size you want to give to the bench (2-seater - 3-seater) and diameter proportional to the hole of the adobe.
-Cement powder that you will mix with water
-Pillows
-Plastic color of your choice.
Before you start doing anything make sure the ground, especially in terms of garden, is flat and you will not have unpleasant surprises. Once you have gathered all the materials, the time has come for the construction of the seat to begin.
Initially for the left side you will need 6 bricks. Place the 4 bricks vertically next to each other and the other 2 horizontally above the 4 as in the picture. Then leave a distance proportional to the size of the wood you have chosen and build the other side in exactly the same way.
After placing the woods to see the distance of the adobe, remove them temporarily. It's time for cement. For the best safety and stability it would be good to put cement between the bricks and let it dry.
After the cement dries, place the 4 beams passing them through the holes of the adobe. This way you have already created a bench. Optionally you can paint the adobe with a color of your choice thus escaping the industrial gray.
Of course you will not sit on the beams! The pillows are waiting for you! If you do not have one, buy a mattress close to the dimensions of the sofa or make pillows in the size you want. You will find many fabrics and cheap.
If you do not want to spend a fortune on an old bed mattress, preferably single, it may fit your construction. For a better look you can dress it with a summer fabric.
