Few will remember Vitor De Lima. The Portuguese midfielder, who passed through the Cypriot stadiums of the 2012-13 season, wearing the jersey of Ethnikos Achnas only in the last nine games of the championship, as he was seriously injured in the summer.

At the age of 37, he decided to hang up his football boots, with Famalitsao, the second division team of Portugal, as the last stop of his career, and in an interview with the Portuguese website ojogo.pt, he tells two stories that are etched in his mind. One from his presence in Greece and the other from Cyprus.

In Greece he will not forget when his car was stolen and he went to the Police to file a complaint: "I went to file a complaint to the police, but the police told me to go another day because they were watching football. I told them that the next day I had to to go to training and I was told to go after training. "I saw a policeman riding a motorcycle without a helmet and sending messages."

As for what he remembers from his presence at Ethnikos Achnas, where he suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in the summer and was out of action for about six months, he said: "The president (s.s. means Kiki Filippou) wanted to fire me, but the coach objected and told him he would leave if I left. So I stayed, I played the last ten games and at the end of the season they wanted to renew my contract, but I did not want games ".

We do not know which coach Lima is referring to, as that season four coaches sat on the bench of Ethnikos Achnas in the following order: Nikos Papadopoulos, Nikos Andronikou, Steve Konstantinidis and Nikos Kolombourdas.
