An Extraordinary General Assembly of the KOP was convened for Monday, August 20, following a joint request of eight teams which request the amendment of the statute for the number of teams in the AIK category championship.
Specifically, the teams Aris, Alki, Doxa, Ethnikos, Salamina, Hermes, Paphos FC and Olympiakos ask for flexibility in terms of the number of teams that will participate in the championship and the way it will be conducted from the following season (2020/21).
We remind you that based on the Articles of Association, the 2018/19 and 2019/20 championships will be held with 12 teams. The possibility of further increase of the teams is visible with the new data that are formed as the request of the above eight clubs is supported by other groups.
