The women's volleyball department of Panathinaikos will be in Cyprus on the three days of September 27-29 and will participate in an international tournament at the sports center of the University of Cyprus organized by Anorthosis.
This is a tournament that resulted from a collaboration of the team from Famagusta with the Olympiada of Naples and is under the auspices of KOPE.
In more detail, the press release of the event states:
"The Women's Volleyball Department of Anorthosis Famagusta, continuing the tradition of developing healthy sports and avant-garde, decided to organize an International Women's Volleyball Tournament in collaboration with the Neapolis Olympics and under the auspices of the Cyprus Federation Peto.
It will be held on the three days of September 27-29, 2018, at the Sports Center of the University of Cyprus with the participation of the women's volleyball teams of Panathinaikos, the Israeli champion Maccabi Haifa, the Neapolis Olympics and Anorthosis Famagusta.
The event is supported by the sponsorship of OPAP Cyprus Ltd, the largest dairy industry in Cyprus Charalambidis Christis and is supported by the University of Cyprus with a television partner Cytavision.
The main goal of the organizers is to give the opportunity to the Cypriot friends of the sport to watch a high level spectacle and to consolidate the feeling of friendship and camaraderie between the athletes, the teams and the countries they represent.
At the same time, it will be sought to turn it into a celebration of women's volleyball, through which our place will be promoted and the occupied Famagusta and the occupied Naples will emerge. It is also believed that the OPAP International Women's Volleyball Tournament 2018 will upgrade the organizers' relations with the competing teams and their friends at all levels.
It is a sports meeting of volleyball athletes from three countries with the participation of historical and renowned clubs, which can send the right messages in many directions.
