135 excellent students were awarded by the Municipality of Sotiras during the Event dedicated to the Greek Letters and the Three Hierarchs.
The event took place on Wednesday, January 30, 2018 at the Municipal Theater Sotiras.
An award was also given to Dr. Argyro Fella who in February 2017 completed her doctoral dissertation entitled: "Reading Ability: Cognitive and Electrophysiological Performance Indicators". The award was made in the context of the award of individuals who come from the Savior and have achieved the highest level of education by obtaining a doctorate.
Also, prizes were awarded by the School Ephorate to senior students who excelled in their performance during the school year 2016-17.
The speaker of the event was the Professor of Theology of the University of Nicosia, Dr. Nikos Nikolaidis, who developed the topic: "Pedagogical principles of the Three Hierarchs".
Greetings were addressed by the Mayor Sotiras, Mr. George Takkas and the Elder George Ioannou.
Then the awards were given to excellent students of Elementary, High Schools, Lyceums and Evening Gymnasiums-Lyceums during the school year 2016-2017 and to those students who won significant provincial, pan-Cypriot, pan-Hellenic or global distinctions in the competition.
At the beginning of the event the psalmists of the Savior sang hymns for the Three Hierarchs.
