In October 1947, Margaret Ruth Kinder saw the light of day in a small Canadian town. He was one of the five children in the family. Her mother was a fashion historian and her father an engineer. They moved to Yellowknife, Canada because of their father, since he found a very good job there.
The family had no financial problems and in this beautiful town little Margaret (she changed her name when she became an actress) made her own plans for the future. Unruly, irreconcilable, full of thirst for life, with a look that cast sparks, she would hardly give up her dreams.
Dreams that she started planning and chasing after her trip to New York with her mother when she was 12 years old. There, it was the first time he saw a play up close and he was simply enchanted. After all, as she had confessed, in the small town where they lived, they did not have a cinema, so this contact affected her.
Kinder has been involved in politics since she was a child. After all, her parents were politicized (her mother a Democrat and her American father a Republican) and political debates were not absent from home. Margot knew from a young age that she was different. But neither she nor the adults could explain this difference. Her mind was playing different games, but Kinder still could not explain what they were.
At the age of 14, she attempted suicide when her then-boyfriend divorced her. After meeting, she decided to discover those paths that would lead her to liberation, that would help her soul and her mind. The fact that she changed schools every year did not help her situation. Instead, he pulled her back. Until at the age of 17 she discovered that she wanted to be involved in acting. She knew that through acting, she could set herself free.
In 1966 she became pregnant by her then partner, who persuaded her to have an abortion in a hotel room, endangering her life. This painful experience left her with wounds that were difficult to heal. He then went to Vancouver to study, but was expelled a year later. So she decided to move to Toronto, where she became involved in modeling.
The unruly "Superman girl" who thirsted for life
Those who knew her intimately spoke of her unruly character, who did not hesitate to oppose her, claiming her wishes. Her first contact with cinema was in 1968, and from the beginning those who worked with her realized that Margot was different. She had many dreams, but her career was never her first priority. But Margot did not share in their ambitions. That said, life was more important than a brilliant career. However, a little later on her way, came the role that took off her career, launched her fame and she became one of the favorite superheroes of cinema. In 1978 she became the "Superman Girl", Lois Lane, alongside Christopher Reeve, with whom they became inseparable friends. And never lovers, as many movie couples used to do.
The battle with manic depression
Margot Kinder was different from the other girls. She knew it too, as did those who socialized with her. Her life was not always paved with rose petals, however, she had the magical way of being reborn from her ashes. He overcame the difficulties and moved forward. From a young age she fought with her demons and as she grew older this "battle" became more and more difficult.
In 1996 she lived the most difficult moment of her life. The actress disappears from her home and the police find her after four days in the backyard of a house in a miserable condition. Beaten, distressed, with missing tooth pockets, an image far removed from that of television Lane.
She tells police that she was abducted and raped and abandoned. Her script does not convince them. He is examined by experts and they find out that he suffers from manic depression. She wrote the end of her life herself
