George Theofanous spoke for the first time about Pantelis Pantelidis and made one shocking revelation.
The composer referred to an incident that took place in the past and stigmatized him, leaving Katerina Keinourgiou speechless.
"I have never said that before. I had a very difficult night the night that Pantelis Pantelidis died. He went to Cyprus and made a mistake. He wrote a song about a chick in the Occupied Territories. I wrote a letter to the media the next day. Pantelis always came and listened to me, I always showed him a microphone, he always sang. "I was asked many times my opinion about Pantelis and I always had the best conversations", said initially George Theofanous.
He continued: "In that letter I wrote exactly this, because you have not lived through the war of '74, which I lived through, I consider it a bad moment for you. Take it back, you write so many hits, you have no need. You do not know how the other person who has his mother in the Occupied Territories will react, he has his house from there, he is passionate about it. "My generation is passionate about that thing."
Seeing the reaction of Katerina Keinourgiou, Theofanous explained: "I normally give you the story because I have never said that before. My best man who was in charge of Pantelis comes and tells me "I spoke with Pantelis and he will withdraw the song tomorrow and he will also apologize". And I say no to apologizing, just briefly, to end the matter. And in the morning they wake me up and tell me that he was killed ".
George Theofanous then said shocking the presenter: "Then I saw his mother cursing me and my children over the memorial. Let my children die to understand the pain they went through. I cried all day and said why? He had it with me and Faye! "Faye had a very difficult time."
