The Diocese of Constantia is collecting signatures to proceed with the construction of the Monastery of Saints Catherine and Ephraim in the area of Cabo Greco.
According to the website of the Diocese, citizens can show their support for the project "Estruction of St. Ephraim's and St. Catherine's Share with Public Benefit programs in Agia Napa in the Holy Diocese of Constantia and Famagusta".
Η by clicking here states that "Cypriot society considers that the specific project that began to be built in the Korakistra area of Ayia Napa is necessary and beneficial for the province of Famagusta and for Cyprus more broadly, because:
1st: It will house the homeless monastic brotherhood of the Holy Monastery of Panagia Agia Napa, which cannot be housed in the existing Holy Monastery in Agia Napa due to its location among the nightclubs.
2nd: It will provide community benefit special drug and alcohol detoxification and recovery programs, as well as other sensitive case support programs.
We argue that with the appropriate instructions and permits from the competent authorities, the specific project can be done at the specific point and will perfectly combine the protection of the environment and the protection of people, constituting a great legacy for the present and the future."
