The Police handcuffed a 17-year-old African, seeking political asylum.
According to information, an 8-year-old girl reported an attempted rape by a 17-year-old foreigner while she was in Ayia Napa on vacation.
The case was reported last Thursday, December 14, to the Famagusta Police by the elderly woman, who reported that an unknown man attacked her and sexually abused her.
The Police proceeded to arrest the 17-year-old foreigner.
The suspect was brought before a court where he was ordered to be detained for a period of 6 days.
