The Municipality of Ayia Napa will once again honor the National Anniversary of March 25, 1821 with events that will remind all the values and ideals of our ancestors, values through which today we proudly celebrate and honor the "Hail oh Hail Freedom ".
The events honor for another year this handful of people, tormented bent by the unbearable weight of slavery of more than four hundred years who managed with the faith in our Warrior General, to expel the conqueror, dying "for Christ the faith of the Saint and Homeland Freedom ".
With flag decorations and in-school celebrations the beginning of the events, which will take place on March 24, 2022 at the Primary School and Kindergarten of Ayia Napa and with a Festive Doxology on the day of the National Anniversary, which will take place at the Holy Temple of Panagia Napa, will be delivered by the Member of Parliament of DI.KO Famagusta Mr. Christos Senekis.
The Celebrations will conclude with the big event on Saturday, March 26 at 5:30 pm, in the Port of Ayia Napa. The event is organized in collaboration with the Association of Friends of the Sculpture Park "Aroma" of Ayia Napa, where the representation of the unique battle that took place in Cyprus between Greek Revolutionaries and Turkish Cypriot soldiers in Ayia Napa, on March 17, 1826. in his presence the Secretary of the Council of Ministers Mr. Theodosis Tsiolas who will address a greeting, as well as a greeting will be addressed by the Mayor of Ayia Napa Mr. Christos Zannettou and the President of the Association of Friends of the Sculpture Park "Aroma" of Agia Napa Mr.
The Festive of the festive night will be delivered by the Professor of History of the University of Naples and Former Ambassador KD Mr. George George.
