In a modest ceremony that took place on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, the British Shona Margaret Ross was declared by the Municipal Secretary, Mr. Fotos Kikilos, and by the Cultural Officer of the Municipality, Ms. Maria Tofini Tsantila on behalf of the Mayor Mr. Christos Zannettos, to "Tourism Ambassador" for her 36 visits to Ayia Napa.
During the awarding of the plaque and emblem of the "Ambassador of Tourism" of Ayia Napa, both Mr. Kikilos and Ms. Tofini expressed their heartfelt thanks for her numerous visits and for the special preference she shows for Ayia Napa, at the same time pointing out to her that the Municipality no longer considers her just a visitor but a citizen of Ayia Napa.
