The "wow effect" is the phenomenon that happens to someone who visits the Ayia Napa Marina and its "freshly delivered" East Tower for the first time.

The Ayia Napa Marina project has cost until today 250 million making it one of the biggest investments ever made on the island, while construction has also begun on the West Tower, which will be identical to the now ready East Tower, which will greatly increase the total investment.

As reported, "The East Tower comprises 95 spacious and luxurious one to four bedroom apartments and penthouses on the top two floors that boast 360-degree panoramic views."

They are specially designed to ensure that all living areas, including the bedrooms, face the sea and the adjacent beaches. With a modern and smart open plan design, the diffusion of natural light is maximized as well as the magnificent view. For example, the living room has glass patio doors that are specially designed to open in such a way as to join the living room and the covered terrace.

Karamontanis: It is not easy to express yourself about this achievement

"It is not easy to speak about this achievement that we have made, especially when it comes to one of the 41 unique structures of this type that exist around the planet," said CEO of Ayia Napa Marina Stavrou Karamontanis during his opening speech at the revolving East Tower.

The head of the Marina stated that the project started to be built since 2016 and it could not have become a reality without the partners, architects, contractors and all the rest of the team who have been working hard since then.

The project, he noted, signals the fact that foreigners give us a vote of confidence as an investment center but sometimes we misunderstand them due to populism, giving the wrong impression to the outside.

The Marina of Ayia Napa is the most tangible example that investors believe in Cyprus and prove it, he stressed.

Pavlos Filippou, on behalf of the Architectural Office I + A Filippou, said that the project was technically very demanding and was done during the pandemic with all the attendant difficulties.

"The Eastern Tower is a building we are proud of" and the Ayia Napa Marina is the most important public investment in the Free Province of Famagusta.

Regarding the height and reach of the Tower, he said that the aim was to emphasize in this way the importance of the project for the region.

Regarding the technical part, Mr. Filippou said that this is a project that had enormous challenges in its implementation, since it is built by approximately 87% on land that did not exist before, "it is a filling project".

He noted that the mission from the beginning was clear, to make Ayia Napa Marina the first choice for yachts in the Mediterranean and it seems that "we are achieving our goal day by day".

The "wow effect"

Yannis Antoniou, sales manager of the Ayia Napa Marina, said that he detects that the wow effect is happening to those who visit the Marina and the Eastern Tower.

"While they see photos and videos before setting foot in the area, they come and say wow again, since they don't believe that such a project can exist in Cyprus."

"Our main goal is not only to offer real estate but the experience and the 'sweet' memories to make you want to come back."

He added that the design that has been done is to enrich the product and give pleasant experiences to both occupants and visitors.

Since September when the first tenants entered their homes in the East Tower "they come to stay 1-2 days and stay a week, or they come for a week and stay a month".

From 850.000 euros to 9.000.000 – Cypriots are buying

Yannis Antoniou stated that the East Tower consists of 26 floors and has a total of 95 residential units.

The residential units range from single-family houses to apartments, while the cost ranges from 850.000 euros to 9 million euros.

Each apartment is different either due to the architectural space or interior layout or different views.

Speaking to Economy Today, he said that the average purchase cost per square meter is around 10.000 euros.

Regarding the buyers, he noted that "the aim was to attract customers from as many nationalities as possible", which has been achieved since people who have bought apartments in Pyrgos come from all five continents.

It is a multinational environment that offers even more pleasant living for the tenants.

He was surprised by the fact that many Cypriots have already bought apartments in the Eastern Tower, noting that "the project has been embraced by many of our Cypriot compatriots".
