From April 20 to 25, the biggest academy tournament in the Eastern Mediterranean is being organized, the Ayia Napa Soccer Festival, which this year will also host a championship for girls aged 10-15.
According to an announcement by the organizers, the women are an integral part of their football and could not be absent from the tournament.
Thus, in collaboration with the KOP, it is part of the Ayia Napa Soccer Festival and a category of girls aged 10-15. The matches in the girls' championship will be held on the two days of April 23 and 24 in the stadiums of the Municipality of Ayia Napa and will be in teams "7 against 7".
The way of holding the tournament will be announced later, after the numbers of entries are filled in.
This is the second year that there is a purely female category. The first was in 2017.
Omonia Nicosia, Olympiakos Piraeus Larnaca, Akadimia Asprakis, THI Lakatamias and Eleftheri Famagusta have declared their participation in this year's event.
