The arrest of a second person in the case of the attempted murder in Ayia Napa, was made by the Police yesterday.
According to a police information, after a testimony was obtained, the Police proceeded late on Thursday night to arrest a second person, aged 37 years. This is the life sentence for the case of the five-count murder that took place in the early hours of June 23, 2012 on the accommodation street in Ayia Napa, when three Cypriot and two Romanian guards of the well-known Cypriot businessman Fanos Kalopsidiotis were cold-bloodedly killed. The victims were Filippos Loukaidis, 33, Marios Karaolis, 28, Giorgos Georgiou, 35, Georgian Catalin Koman, 25, and Marcel Aurel Coleasa, 33.
The perpetrator had executed all 5 victims in a period of 19 seconds. He fired at them 14 times with a Glock pistol.
Through the investigation, the investigating authorities concluded that it was a "death contract", which was called to be executed by "MAM" (Dimitris Mamalikopoulos) with the help of "Douros" (Anastasios Tsecheilidis), who were sentenced to five life sentences. .
The 37-year-old is expected to be brought before a court today to secure a detention order.
