The arrest of two men aged 22 and 30 was carried out by members of the TAE Famagusta to facilitate investigations, in relation to a case of assault and causing serious bodily harm to a 25-year-old victim.
As stated in an official statement by the Police, the incident unfolded in the morning hours of Saturday, June 3, 2023 in Ayia Napa, when after a conflict between the two parties, the arrested appear, according to the testimonies obtained, to have attacked and beaten the 25-year-old with resulting in her falling from a 2-3 meter high fence and hitting the ground.
The 25-year-old was transported by ambulance to the General Hospital of Famagusta, where it was found that she had a broken tooth and bruises on various parts of her body. Those arrested were brought before the Famagusta District Court yesterday and a detention order was secured against them for a period of 4 days.
The motives that led to the injury of the 25-year-old woman are being investigated by the TAE of Famagusta.
