A series of dynamic actions, which will be implemented soon, were decided jointly by the Mayors of Ayia Napa, Sotiras Messrs. Christos Zannetou and George Ttakkas and the President of the Community Council of Liopetri Mr. Kyriakos Trisokkas, at a recent meeting at the Diemeta subject of the Reform and specifically their firm position for the unification of the two Municipalities and the Community Council of Liopetri.

It was decided that they have meetings with all the competent Ministries and Parliamentary Parties, to which they will list as their main weapon the population, social and economic criteria of mergers set through the consultations of the Union of Municipalities with the Ministry of Interior as well as the study conducted by International Independent Audit Office Ernst & Young Cyprus Ltd and which speaks of the need to create meritocratic, equal and heterogeneous Municipalities in the Free Province of Famagusta, something which they claim will be in the public interest of both the Province and the Tourism Industry.

They will also present the common advantages that all three areas will gain from the unification of the coastal front, which starts from the beach of Konnos and reaches the River of Liopetri and the Brand Name "Ayia Napa", which will make a decisive contribution to the tourism, economic, social and cultural development of their region.

It was also decided to open a book of protest, where they invite all citizens to sign it as well as the organization of a joint Pandemic, which is expected to take place on January 29, 2020 at the Indoor Amphitheater of the Municipality of Sotira.

In a joint statement after the meeting, Messrs.
