A total of six British tourists were announced yesterday as "Tourism Ambassadors" of Ayia Napa on the occasion of their 25 visits to the Municipality.

The City of Napa's new "Tourism Ambassadors" are Alistair William White and Wendy Margaret Dingwall, Carolynn Wood and Lucy and Tom Wood's children, and family friend Scott Dobson.

The ceremony took place today, Tuesday 18 June, and the plaques and the emblem of the "Ambassador of Tourism" of Ayia Napa were awarded by the Mayor Giannis Karousos, who expressed "heartfelt thanks both for their numerous visits and for the fact that Ayia Napa remained for many years in their preference as the only destination for their vacation ".

Mr. Karousos also informed the honorees about the reasons for their award, the establishment of the institution of "Ambassador of Tourism" by the Municipality and the electronic diploma, which will be sent to their e-mail.

The Mayor also stated that "the 25 visits of British tourists to Ayia Napa prove in the most practical and convincing way the great love they have for Ayia Napa and that the Municipality is a remarkable cosmopolitan tourist resort that deserves to be to visit for his vacation ".

The announcement also states that "with the addition of today's visitors to the list of the" Tourism Ambassador "of Ayia Napa, the number of honored tourists has exceeded 500, a number that satisfies the Municipality to the fullest".
