The damage that had caused a multi-day water outage in the Deryneia area was repaired.
According to what the Mayor of Deryneia, Andros Karagiannis, said in the show "ALPHA Good Morning", after a meeting held on Tuesday, additional pipelines have been installed to continue the uninterrupted flow of water.
"We must apologize to the world for this inconvenience. We held both the contractors and the public works and the Water Department accountable for their responsibilities and asked that this should not happen again, because we cannot deprive the people of drinking water."
As Mr. Mayor noted, the damage has been repaired, as no complaint has been received so far. At the same time, additional measures were taken as prevention to avoid a similar problem in the future.
"We have made a decision to join a pipeline that is adjacent to the Municipality of Paralimni, together with the pipeline of the Municipality of Paralimni, so that if Deryneia is left without water, we will get water from the Municipality of Paralimni."
