Despite the agreed opening date for July 1st at the Anastasiadis-Akkintzi dinner on the 16th of last April, the Deryneia roadblock remains hermetically sealed.
Cause the delays of the occupying authorities including the old outpost which remains immovable despite the previous agreement.
Nevertheless, the Greek Cypriot side says it is ready with all the infrastructure completed, while on the other hand, the Mayor of Deryneia, Andros Karagiannis, claims that there is hope for opening after September.
