With a symbolic course from Deryneia to Sotira, the events within the framework of the 44th Pancyprian March of Christodoula culminated today.
The beginning of the march was announced by the City Hall of Deryneia at 10:30 this morning, the Minister of Interior, Konstantinos Petridis.
Hundreds of volunteers took part in the procession which takes place symbolically, following in the footsteps of Christodoula who in 1974 left uprooted and a refugee from Agios Memnon and ended up in Sotira where she cooled down under an orange tree, where today there is a monument dedicated to her memory.
In the area of the monument, a trishagio and the laying of flowers were performed while the Municipality of Sotiras carried out a small artistic program.
