The news of the unfortunate death of the well-known hairdresser George Iakovos caused immense sadness last night in the province of Famagusta.

Iakovou was found dead around 8:30 last night in his apartment in Deryneia by members of the Police who went after being informed by friends and relatives at 19:30 last night that in the last days he did not give signs of life so he answered their phone calls calls.
Members of the Deryneia Police Station went to the 48-year-old's house in Deryneia, where they searched for him, but to no avail.
Then the Fire Service was called where around 20:30 its members entered the house through a half-open window on the first floor and located the 48-year-old in his living room.
Members of the Deryneia Police Station, the Famagusta Police Department and the Deputy Famagusta Police Director went to the scene.
The medical examiner Nikolas Charalambous was called to the scene, who performed an autopsy and at first sight ruled out the possibility of criminal action.
Police investigations revealed that the deceased is GIORGOS IAKOVOU and the causes of his death will be ascertained during the legal autopsy that will be performed tomorrow at the Larnaca General Hospital.
The case is being investigated by the Famagusta Police Department in collaboration with the Deryneia Police Station.
