A very serious traffic accident occurred on Monday night (24/1/2022) on the road Liopetriou - Sotiras when a vehicle dragged a cyclist.
Specifically, according to the information, around 6.35 this afternoon, a car driven by a 43-year-old woman on the road from Liopetri to Sotira, collided with the back of a bicycle driven by a 29-year-old Indian, resulting in serious injury to the cyclist.
According to the information and the examinations so far, the bicycle did not bring any lights, while there is no lighting in this particular part of the road either.
Members of the Famagusta Traffic Police are on the scene.
