EKYSY Famagusta held a symbolic protest outside the building of Anagennisi Deryneia, on Thursday, September 16, asking the government to deal with the pensioners with social sensitivity and to solve the serious problems they face.
According to a press release of the organization, a provincial conference with the participation of organizations of the free region of Famagusta preceded and during which the delegates approved a memorandum to the Minister of Labor.
Recalls that at this time retirees are mobilizing internationally to claim their rights and a better quality of life and that the international mobilization of retirees is part of the anniversary of October 1, which has been established by the United Nations as World Day for Older Persons.
In this context, EKYSY announced a program of District Conferences and protest events on Thursday 23/9/21 at 9.30 am. at the building of the Popular Organizations in Pervolia in Larnaca on Tuesday 28/9/21 at 9 a.m. at the PEO building in Nicosia and clarified that the District Conferences of EKYSY Limassol and Paphos are postponed.
