The Xylofagou Police Station is examining two driving cases under the influence of drugs.
The announcement of the Police:
On 01/02/2021 at 12:10 members of the Famagusta traffic police during a traffic control, stopped in Liopetri for control a car driven by a 27-year-old resident of Larnaca District. During the inspection, suspicions were raised that the above was driving under the influence of drugs. He underwent a preliminary drug test with a positive result. A saliva sample was then taken from him to be sent to the State General Laboratory for laboratory testing.
In the second case - on the same day 01/02/2021 at 20:45 members of the Famagusta traffic police during a traffic control stopped in Xylofagou a car driven by a 21-year-old resident of the Free Province of Famagusta. During the inspection, suspicions were raised that the above was driving under the influence of drugs. He underwent a preliminary drug test with a positive result. A saliva sample was then taken from him to be sent to the State General Laboratory for laboratory testing.
Both cases are being investigated by the Xylofagos police station.
