A very healthy baby girl was born to the 34-year-old driver, who in the morning was involved in a serious accident on the Larnaca-Ayia Napa highway, despite the exit of Liopetri when she collided with a vehicle driven by a 58-year-old. The woman was transported by ambulance to the General Hospital of Famagusta, where she underwent a caesarean section as she was in the 8th month of her pregnancy.
According to information, the birth of the 34-year-old was planned by the doctor who was watching her for next Monday.

At the same time, the health condition of the 58-year-old driver is serious. He was initially transported by ambulance to the General Hospital of Famagusta, where he underwent a tracheotomy. Due to the critical injuries, it was deemed necessary to transport him to the General Hospital of Nicosia, where he was placed on a ventilator and is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit.
The treating physicians found a broken rib, a head injury and an accumulation of fluid in the lungs.
From the examinations so far, it appears that the 58-year-old tried to make a turn on the highway or failed to enter the highway from the safety lane, as a result of which he collided with the vehicle driven by the 34-year-old.
The Police continues the investigations to clarify the causes of the serious accident.
