As Andreas Konstantinou, spokesman for the Famagusta Police Department, told KYPE, “students, school staff and other people who seem to be involved in the case continue to take statements. To date, from the videos and photos circulating on Social Media, 20 young people have been identified who seem to be involved in throwing flares and smoke as well as throwing chickens and rabbits from the balconies of the School ".

He added that "investigators are using the visual material for the facts in their hands and the investigation of the case is proceeding at an intensive pace".

Answering a relevant question, Mr. Konstantinou said that “the offenses examined by the investigators of the case concern animal abuse and is a crime that is considered by the Police to be the most important. "Among other things, offenses related to illegal possession and use of sparklers and flares, writing slogans, illegal gathering of students, harassment and theft of animals are being investigated".
