OKYPY stressed that it is already preparing for the staffing and equipment of the new wards at the Famagusta hospital, with the aim if possible even before June, so that the new premises will be at the disposal of the director Amalia Hatzigianni and the staff as soon as possible.

As Mr. Charilaou also mentioned in the first stage, the two new wards, with a capacity of tens of beds, will be used for the needs of the new hospital of Famagusta, as a reference hospital for the coronavirus pandemic. "But then and at some point when the pandemic disappears, then the wards will be adapted to the needs of the society of free Famagusta and will enrich the infrastructure of the hospital of the province", he underlined. He also said that in the near future, more details about the project will be made known by OKYPY.
