Paralimni, therefore, wore its festive clothes with the event lighting held on Sunday 28 November 2021 with a concert with the popular Josephine and with the lighting of one of the largest Christmas trees in Cyprus, which was thus the beginning of the events that will continue until the end of the holidays.
The Municipality of Paralimni, respecting the protocols and decrees of the Ministry of Health, received the green light from the Health Services of the Ministry of Health and organizes its events taking all the protective measures in the largest outdoor but at the same time covered event space in Christmas Wonder, in the central square of Agios Georgios.
So, Paralimni put on its festivities and invites us to feel the festive spirit that will begin with the lighting event with the popular singer Josephine and will continue with free events throughout the festivities.

The Saturday 4 December from 11 in the morning until 6 in the afternoon, the Association of Shopkeepers of Paralimni invites us to the "White Saturday" which will be celebrated with special events and offers in all the shopping streets of Paralimni. At the same time, in the commercial streets, a carriage parade with Santa Claus will take place, accompanied by the Philharmonic Band "Armonia" of the Municipality of Paralimni.
The rest of the events will take place in the covered Christmas Wonder event space in Agios Georgios square.
On Sunday 5 December at 3 in the afternoon in a program organized by the Youth of Paralimni, the narration in Cypriot dialect by the narrator Georgia Fatta of the children's fairy tale by Eugenios Trivizas, "The Mouse that wanted to touch a star" will be presented. Then at 4:30 in the afternoon will be organized Christmas constructions (arts and crafts) for children with pottery, face mask and more.
The Saturday 11 December from 5pm to 10pm, the Famagusta Arts, Craft and Gifts Fair organizes a Christmas market with more than 100 kiosks and a music and dance program.
On Sunday 12 December at 3 in the afternoon will take place the interactive presentation of the children's fairy tale "The Lion Knows" by Pamela Anastasiou-Papaiakovou. At 4:15 p.m. will be followed by a dance performance by the Dancando School of Dance. At 5 there will be a musical performance by the Pianoforte Music School, at 6 in the afternoon a dance performance by the private art dance school Freedom and at 6:50 p.m. musical performance by Elina's School of Music. The program of events will end at 7:35 pm with the music and dance performance "Traditional Christmas" with the Cultural Workshop "By the Lake".
The Saturday 18 December At 3 pm, the interactive reading of the children's fairy tales "Gift of Life" and "For 1 and 2 and 3 and 1013" by Maria Tsivika will take place by students of Xenion Highschool. This will be followed at 4:15 by the dance performance of Heaven Dance Studio, at 5 p.m. by the Tzourou Music Center, at 6 p.m. dance performance from the Dance School "Rhythm" while at 6:50 p.m. An original "Food Contest" will be held by the Paralimni Youth.
On Sunday 19 December The program of events will start at 2 at noon with a parade in the main streets of Paralimni of the chariot of Santa Claus accompanied by hiking dance groups and the Symphony Band "Harmony" to lead. At 3:15 the program will continue with a dance performance by Maria Thalassinou Dance Studio and at 4, a musical performance by the Voice and Performance Studio of Ifigenia Christodoulou. At 5:50 will follow a musical performance by the Music Steps Conservatory of Georgia Maifosi and Panagiotis Koumassis in collaboration with the School of Vocals of Marianna Hadjichristou. The program will end with a "Christmas Concert" by the Choir of the Municipality of Paralimni "Melizona" with other choirs.
Finally, the Thursday December 30 Paralimni Youth will organize a big concert - farewell party for 2021.
Secret Santa so that no child is left without a gift during the holidaysSanta Claus will not leave any child without a gift this year either. In Christmas Wonder Square, there will be a Santa Claus Wish House throughout the festivities where any child can come to write the letter to Santa Claus and a wish will come true. There will also be a large box in which one can get new or slightly used gifts which will be given to children. In order not to leave any child without a gift at Christmas.
