According to the announcement, this is the unacceptable phenomenon of pollution of the wider area of Lake Paralimni, which in recent years has completely escaped, which is why they call the health services of the Municipalities of Paralimni and Sotira and all relevant government and environmental agencies to intervene immediately. .
The lake, as mentioned, has joined the European network Natura 2000 and is an important wetland in Cyprus with rare species of flora and fauna which are endangered by pollution, as well as the health of all residents of the area.
In the announcement, EVEA addresses a dramatic appeal to all stakeholders to immediately take measures to clean and protect the area from those unconscious who continue to pollute it.
