Members of the Famagusta Traffic Police stopped, according to an announcement by the Police, last night for a check on Protaras Avenue in Paralimni, a car driven by a 43-year-old woman.
The 43-year-old driver underwent a preliminary breathalyzer test with an indication of 145μg instead of 22μg.
He was then transferred to the Famagusta Traffic Police, where he underwent a final alcohol test with an indication of 115μg instead of 22μg.
The 43-year-old was arrested for a self-inflicted crime and after being charged in writing, she was released to be summoned before a Court at a later stage.
