A total of 17 cases of burglary and theft from homes and property, committed in 2018 in free Famagusta, were registered today before the District Court of Famagusta, against a 47-year-old man, who was wanted and arrested last night.

According to the Police, at around 08.30 on the morning of Sunday 14 June, while the cafe cleaner in Paralimni was on the second floor, the 47-year-old entered the premises, opened the cash register and took 600 euros in cash.
His actions were recorded by the closed circuit surveillance circuit of the cafeteria and an arrest warrant was issued against him and he was arrested yesterday in Larnaca.
Today, the Police registered before the District Court of Famagusta, against the suspect both the case of Sunday and 16 other cases related to burglaries and thefts from homes and property, committed during 2018 in the free area of Famagusta.
The case is set for trial on June 26, and by then the 47-year-old will be in custody.
