A fire broke out on Thursday afternoon in an apartment in Paralimni.
According to the press representative of the Fire Department, Andreas Ketti, around 16:34 the Famagusta Fire Station responded to a fire in an apartment on the third floor of a four-story apartment building in the Municipality of Paralimni.
Breathing apparatus was used by members of the Fire Department to enter the apartment, which suffered extensive damage.
The tenants of the apartment had left before the fire broke out and no one was in danger. The upper floor was affected by the fire on the outside.
The fire was brought under control at 16:51 p.m., two fire trucks responded to extinguish the fire, while the cause is being investigated.
