The Consecration of the Waters took place today, the eve of Epiphany, January 5, 2023, in the chapel of Agios Nikolaos in the fishing shelter of Paralimni in the Pernera area of Protaras.
It was preceded by a sequence of consecration in the chapel and a procession to the pier of the Fishing Refuge where the Dive of the Cross into the sea took place.
In the morning, the Great Hours and Vespers of the Epiphanies and the Divine Liturgy of the Great Basil were celebrated in the churches of the parishes of the Municipality of Paralimni.
Tomorrow, Friday, January 6, 2023, the day of the Epiphany, the Consecration of the Waters ceremony will take place in the chapel of the Apostle Andreas in the area of Nisia in Protaras, at 10:30 am.
