One record after another has been broken in recent months by tourist arrivals in Cyprus, ranking tourism as one of the main economic lungs of the country. According to the research, the licensed hotels throughout free Cyprus currently amount to 242, of which 26 are five-star (5 *). All 242 hotels in Cyprus have 28,542 rooms and 55.974 beds.

Most hotels are in the free area of ​​Famagusta (78), with Paphos coming second (59), Limassol (31) third, Larnaca (30) fourth and last Nicosia (17), while in the mountain resorts there are 24 hotels and in Kato Pyrgos 3.

  • Also in Ayia Napa there are 40 complexes Hotel Apartments, of which 9 category A, 24 category B and 7 category C, 46 complexes of tourist apartments (their categorization is not mentioned), 5 Tourist Villages category A and 4 category tourist villas.

28 hotels are licensed in Paralimni:

  • 2 5 * hotels with 394 rooms and 788 beds.
  • 11 4 * hotels with 1.922 rooms and 3.844 beds.
  • 13 3 * hotels with 1.568 rooms and 3.026 beds.
  • 2 2 * hotels with 202 rooms and 412 beds.
  • Also, in Paralimni there are 45 complexes Hotel Apartments, of which 19 category A, 27 category B and 2 category C, 4 complexes of tourist apartments, 1 complex of Traditional Houses - Hotels, 4 complexes of tourist apartments and 2 Tourist Villages category A.

In Protaras are licensed 3 3 * hotels with 348 rooms and 767 beds.
