In a modest event on the afternoon of Friday, November 24, 2023, the Mayor and the members of the Paralimni Municipal Council performed the lighting of the Christmas Tree and the festive decorations of the Paralimni Municipality.
The modest event took place with a varied program, due to the postponement of the illumination event scheduled for Sunday, November 26, 2023, due to the yellow warning issued by the Cyprus Meteorological Service.
The modest event was attended by the Mayor of Paralimni, Mr. Theodoros Pyrillis, the members of the Municipal Council and the President of the Community Council of Acheritos, Mr. Michalis Kaunas. The President of the Anti-Cancer Association of Famagusta, Mr. Adamos Loizou, was also present, as the Lighting of the Christmas Tree in the Municipality of Paralimni, takes place over time as part of the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Association and EAC's Pan-Cypriot Campaign, "Give Light to a Life" .

🎄 Christmas Illumination of the Municipality of Paralimni
The Municipality of Paralimni will have its own Christmas square this year. From December 2 and throughout the holidays, the central parking area of Agios Georgios Square has been transformed into a Christmas Square. Stands have been placed in the area from which various dishes will be served, while a small amusement park has been set up around the beautiful Christmas tree where small children can have fun.
The venue will host events every weekend and include music and dance performances, concerts, children's activities and more.
The official start of the operation of the Christmas square will take place on Saturday, December 2, where from 12 until 2 in the afternoon there will be a musical live link with Politia FM.
A music concert and dance program will follow.
In more detail, the events in Christmas Square will take place on the weekends of December 2 and 3, 9 and 10, and 16 and 17 as well as Friday-Saturday December 22 and 23.
There will also be parallel events on the weekends with interactive storytelling and children's shows in the event hall of the Paralimni Town Hall.
Soon, the new date on which the concert with Eleftheria Eleftheriou will be postponed will be announced.
Finally, it should be noted that entry to all Christmas events of the Municipality of Paralimni is free.
