An elderly woman was caught in the leeches setting up sticks for vine birds inside her farm in the free area of ​​Famagusta, a member of the Thera Service.

According to an article in the newspaper "Phileleftheros", the men of the Thera Service, raided the farm of the 65-year-old and caught her on the spot engaging in poaching.

As it is noted, the 65-year-old planted 86 woodpeckers in her orchard in which 29 wild birds were found, such as vines and other related species, which were released.

The raid took place after information was transmitted to the hunting service by foreign Ecological Members who come to Cyprus every year for this purpose.

The 65-year-old was punished out of court in the presence of her husband, as the newspaper reports, with a fine of 8 thousand 540 euros, which she paid.
