A love story between the Greek Cypriot Panagiotis Andreou and the Turkish Cypriot Hatice Giser, who were both born and raised together in Rizokarpaso, is published by the Turkish newspaper Havantis under the title "Love won in Rizokarpaso".

Panagiotis and Hatice had fallen in love as teenagers, but they could not confess their love then and married different people, as their families wished.

According to Havadis, who publishes photos of the couple today, Hatice married at the age of 16 a T / C 21 years older than her, they went together to London where after 7 years she decided to become a mother to separate from her husband who divorced her. cheated when their daughter was a newborn baby, so she returned to Cyprus. She stayed at her paternal home for 15 years without remarrying.

In the meantime, Panagiotis, who, as mentioned, also married an older Greek woman, had two sons, divorced and moved back to his paternal home in Rizokarpaso.

Hatice and Panagiotis, it is added, met each other several years after their first unfulfilled love, again in Rizokarpaso 5 years ago, and despite the opposition of their parents, they decided to get married and live together. The wedding, as reported, took place in Cyprus and the couple with Hatice's daughter from their first marriage live in a house they rented in Agia Triada.

Today they have a 3-year-old son who goes to school and have been photographed with him for the newspaper report. Havantis adds that Panagiotis and Hatice hope that their families will understand them one day and they are waiting for this day patiently.
