In an emotional atmosphere, a Divine Liturgy was held on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at the Church of Timios Prodromos in the occupied Gypsum of the province of Famagusta.

See yesterday's post of the Holy Diocese of Constantia Famagusta:

Another silent, "chant of a zero-pope", a church of the occupied northern sense of our heart, came to life again this morning and came to life again.

A life centered on "indeed Life", the Common Glass, the call for the Eucharistic Gathering of an entire village that returns to its occupied land, to operate with the priest his looted church, even if it no longer has none of what defines it as a place of worship.

Many displaced residents of Gypsos, with deep emotion and due respect, went on Sunday, August 25, 2019, to their occupied village and the temple of Timios Prodromos, with incense, bread and candles to pray reverently to the Lord of Mercy, shorten the ordeal time and allow them to return to their ancestral homes soon.

The Divine Liturgy was performed by the Protosyggellos of the Holy Metropolis, Archimandrite Augustinos Kkaras, in the presence of a large number of believers led by the common leader of Gypsum, Mr. Panikko Giasoumis.

Immediately after the end of the Divine Liturgy, a procession took place in the courtyard of the temple.
