Mark and Helen Smith from Lincoln, Great Britain, visited the civil wedding hall at Ayia Napa City Hall, where he got married 12 years ago, yesterday, Friday, March 3rd.
A written statement from the City of Ayia Napa states that "about a month and a half ago, Helen Smith lost the precious stone in her wedding ring while traveling abroad. Helen set a goal to wear her ring again after its restoration, in the Municipal Palace of Ayia Napa and specifically in the civil wedding hall where she had given the vows of eternal love with her beloved Mark 12 years ago ".
A few days before she left with her husband for their "planned trip to Cyprus and specifically on her birthday, Helen received her repaired ring from the insurance company".
According to the announcement, "yesterday, Friday, the couple's goal was achieved with their visit to the City Hall of Ayia Napa, where they visited the civil wedding hall with the Cultural Officer and Head of the Civil Marriage Department, Maria Tofini Tsantila".
The couple "had the opportunity to see his name in the wish book of the Municipality of Ayia Napa while Mrs. Tofini offered them as a souvenir a bouquet of flowers and Cypriot wine".
