Paphos: The Criminal Court that met today in Paphos, a 24-year-old from Paphos, was found guilty on the charges of rape and robbery. The 24-year-old was on trial for a case reported by a 23-year-old from the Netherlands.

The Criminal Court announced today its decision for the guilt of the 24-year-old and ordered that he remain in custody until March 13, when he will announce the sentence.

According to the complaint of the Dutchwoman, her rape happened in the early hours of October 4, 2015 when, leaving a nightclub for the apartment where she lived, a young man riding a moped approached her and was willing to transport her.

Instead, the tourist complained, he took her to a secluded place, where he had sexual intercourse with her, against her will. Then, as she complained, he snatched her bag containing her mobile phone and her credit card.

The 23-year-old was examined by a medical examiner whose findings were handed over to the Police.

The 24-year-old defendant replied during the proceedings that he did not admit to all the charges against him.
