The Municipality of Sotira participates in the pan-Cypriot cleaning campaign Let's Do It Cyprus on April 25 with the cleaning of Agia Thekla. According to the announcement of the Municipality, the cleaning campaign "Let's Do It Cyprus 2015" will be normally held this year on Sunday 26 April, but because of the Pancyprian March of Christodoula, and because Sotira is the focus of events due to the historicity of the monument, the Municipality Savior, respecting the actions of the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Association, decided to organize the cleaning campaign one day before, on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 10 in the morning.
The Municipality of Sotira and the Sotiras Youth Center are jointly participating in the cleaning campaign in a coordinated effort to clean the entire coastal area of Agia Thekla, from the chapel of Agia Thekla to the beach of Poseidon.
For the campaign, the coordinators have been trained by the people in charge of Let's Do It Cyprus and the Department of the Environment for the smooth running of the cleaning campaign.
With the Municipality of Sotiras will participate the Catechism Meetings Sotiras, the Municipal Volunteer Group Sotiras as well as other volunteers, while the action will be granted by the company Tziovanis Constantinou Hygiene Services Ltd.
