All-night "battles" of farmers and stockbreeders over time in Famagusta

Farmers in the free area of Famagusta spend their evenings in their fields these days, fighting hard over time in order to save their plantations.

In the area, very low temperatures prevail, resulting in frost during the night. Farmers fought this phenomenon all night by watering their potato plants.

Both greenhouse owners and ranchers in the area are constantly on the alert due to the weather, who are constantly monitoring their premises, strengthening the facilities in their effort to protect them from the severe weather.

However, very large damages have not been avoided. That is why officials of the Ministry of Agriculture rushed to the area and made a first assessment of the situation, while today they will continue to record the damage.
