In a tropical climate, it seems that the weather in Cyprus is changing, since the week we are going through will be marked by a Scottish shower. 

So according to the latest forecast of kitasweather.com, tonight the weather will continue to be clear.

The winds will be east to northeast, with the temperature dropping to 5 degrees inland, to 7-9 on the coast and to 0 in the snow, where frost will form.

Tomorrow the weather will initially be partly cloudy, but will soon become mostly cloudy, from medium to high clouds. The winds will be moderate to strong 4 - 5 beauforts on the east, and 5-6 beauforts on the south coast.

The temperature at 18 degrees inland, 18 - 21 on the beach and 6 in the snow. In the evening the weather will be cloudy with dust from Libya.

Locally a few drops of mud will fall. The minimum temperature will be at much higher than the season.

On Wednesday the weather will be partly cloudy and relatively warm for the season. There will be dust in the atmosphere. The winds will gradually become 3 - 4 beauforts west and in the afternoon in the west and south up to strong 5 beauforts.

The temperature is rising and will be 3 to 5 degrees, above normal for the season.

 On Thursday, increased clouds are expected to give local rains and thunderstorms, but there will be long intervals with mostly clear weather. In the highest peaks of Troodos, there will be snowfall.

The area will be affected moderately west, as a strong colder air current and we will have a drop in temperature.

On Friday, a few more local rains and snows are expected in the area of ​​Troodos, mainly in the first half of the day, with the westerly wind strengthening and the temperature dropping further.

On Saturday the area is affected by very strong gas masses, combined with low pressures.

The weather will be mostly cloudy with snow in the mountains and semi-mountains, where in the afternoon they will extend to inland areas. Snow water or snowflakes may also fall in some coastal areas.

However, the data may change slightly in the coming days.

 What about dams?

The fullness of the dams is at 27.4%, while last year it was 37.8%. The bad weather system that will affect us at the end of the week, is not expected to help the situation much, since the general amounts of precipitation will not be so high.

Nevertheless, they will be quite beneficial for agriculture. The height of the snow in Troodos square is 84cm and Olympus at 97cm.
