According to the latest data from the Examination Service of the Ministry of Education until Thursday noon, the candidates who submitted applications amounted to 7.884 in terms of senior students of public Lyceums and Technical Schools, while 508 were applications submitted by former graduates of public and by graduates of private schools.
The fact that the number of enrolled high school students in public high schools and technical schools for this school year amounts to 8.929, led the Examination Service to estimate that on Thursday afternoon and the last Friday afternoon, 1.045 candidates would apply. This is because, in the Pancyprian Examinations, not only those who wish to secure places in the Universities of Cyprus and Greece participate, but all students so that they can get their diploma from the Secondary Education.
Now that the submission process is complete, the Examination Service will begin recording applications, verifying them and examining the facilities requested by candidates. The Pancyprian Examinations will be held from May 18 to June 12.
