A written announcement of the Municipality of Deryneia states that "the foreign representatives had the opportunity to get acquainted with the traditional customs and traditions, culture, traditional professions of our region, the rural way of life, the hospitality of our place and our religious traditions. They even confirmed that they will contribute to the promotion of Deryneia in the tourist map of the area ".
The foreign representatives "also visited the strawberry crops of the Municipality of Deryneia and had the opportunity to try their abundant strawberries and derivatives. The Russian-speaking tourist representatives were invited by the Mayor to attend the 10th Pancyprian Strawberry Festival that will take place on May 27, 2016 in Deryneia ".
