Average hourly concentrations of inhalable particulate matter less than 10 μm in diameter (PM10) in the atmosphere were increased today, at 10:00 am, to between 58 μg / m3 and 108 μg / m3 (micrograms per cubic meter) and as therefore it is expected that the average 24-hour value will exceed the corresponding limit value of 50 μg / m3 set in the relevant legislation.

 According to an announcement by the Labor Inspection Department of the Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Insurance, the last 24-hour average price for Friday, February 10 ranged between 38 and 81 μg / m3 depending on the region.

Due to the small size of the inhalable particulate matter and their potential adverse effects on human health, the public and especially vulnerable populations (children, the elderly and the sick), the Inspection Department advises them to avoid moving outdoors until it has passed. phenomenon observed.

 It is also required that employers take appropriate measures (organizational or technical) after assessing the risks to employees who are outdoors.

Finally, it is recommended that outdoor workers use appropriate personal protective equipment.
