The indictments for the eight suspects in connection with the tragedy in Marie are finally registered next Monday. Yesterday, the Attorney General, Petros Clerides, gave the green light to the competent officer to proceed with their registration, since he studied all the material in relation to each of the accused…

The reason why it took almost two months after the decision on who will be prosecuted until the case is registered before the Court, was related to procedural issues.

As the Attorney General explained to "F", the entire testimony should be examined in order to decide which witness should be used for each accused. Dates had to be checked, in line with the time each defendant served, and then the indictments had to be prepared. In fact, a member of the Police was called for help in preparing the indictments.

Under the accusation are the former Ministers Markos Kyprianou and Costas Papakostas, the former Chief and Deputy Chief of the Armed Forces Petros Tsalikidis and Savvas Argyrou, Colonel George Georgiadis, the director and deputy director of the Fire Brigade and the Fire Brigade N

All of them have already been charged in writing and are now expected to be charged in court.
