Auditor General: The budgets of the Municipality of Sotiras are clean and in surplus

Important details seem to be demonstrated in the recent report submitted by the Auditor General for the year 2013, regarding the Municipality of Sotiras, which was published today on the official Facebook page of the Municipality.

The report of the Auditor General for 2013, shows that the newly established Municipality of Sotiras has a healthy and surplus fund, while in relation to other Municipalities it maintains one of the lowest loans, without any other remarks.

Surplus Budgets

According to the report of the Auditor General, the Budgeted revenues of the Municipality for 2013 amount to € 3.509.100, while the budgeted expenditures to € 2.649.731, showing a surplus of € 859.369.

Compared to 2012, the budgeted revenues amount to € 2.769.450, the budgeted expenditures to € 2.370.631 and the surplus to € 398.819.

This shows that the Budgets of 2013 compared to 2012 show a surplus of € 460.550!

Pension and Tip Funds

According to the report of the Auditor General, the Municipality of Sotiras is one of the three Municipalities (along with the Municipality of Tseri and Lakatameia) that on 31.12.2013 does not owe any amount to the Pension and Tip Fund, while in 2012 it owed € 252.019.

Staff costs

Regarding staff costs, the report shows that in the Municipality of Sotiras work 4 permanent staff and 2 temporary staff, with costs amounting to € 177.261, compared to € 176.336 in 2012, while 7 full-time and 7 seasonal staff work employees at a cost of € 167.128 compared to € 184.568 in 2012.

Loans

Regarding loans, the report shows that the Municipality of Sotiras holds the third smallest loan from the Municipalities of Cyprus in 2013 with an amount of € 262.214, which has decreased by € 86.677 since 2012, when the loan amounted to € 348.891.
