The Cyprus School of Molecular Medicine is part of the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics.

The aim of the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics, he noted, is to operate as a center of excellence in the fields of Neurology, Genetics, Medical and Biomedical Sciences. Next September it will accept its first students in two programs: Medical Genetics and Molecular Medicine for Masters and Doctoral degrees.

The postgraduate school, he said, will strengthen the educational and research role of the Institute in Cyprus but also internationally and the benefits that will be provided by the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics and the state in general are many. Professor Filippos Patsalis, Director of the School and General Executive Medical Director at the Institute, characterized the establishment of the School as the greatest development of the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics since its inception.

For her part, Professor Leonidas Fylaktou, Dean of the Cyprus School of Molecular Medicine, said that these two fields have grown significantly in recent years and on which modern medicine is based.

In addition, in order to attract excellent students, scholarships will be given for the tuition fees of doctoral students, as well as some full scholarships for those who stand out with their performance. The programs of Medical Genetics and Molecular Medicine will be offered in English with the aim of attracting both non-Greek and foreign students from abroad and the creation of a School with an international scope.
